Issued during WW1 (1917-1918), this bat was stamped with the Clark C. Griffith Ball & Bat Fund, Washington DC handle mark. From April 20th, 1917 - March 1919, the fund raised $148,969.92. With the raised funds, baseball equipment was shipped to the overseas concentration camps and members of the American Expeditionary Forces. Packages included 1 catchers mask, 1 chest protector, 1 cather's mitt, 1 first base mitt, 12 baseballs, 3 bases, and 3 bats.

The bat measures 33" in length and weighs 31 ounces and remains uncracked. Small chip in knob. (01C0271)
